- Prior experience or familiarity with the Cambridge Primary Curriculum will be highly preferred
Job Description:
Role Objective:
Calcutta International School invites applications from enthusiastic and skilled Mathematics educators to join our Junior School faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire a strong conceptual understanding of Mathematics while fostering curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love for learning among young learners within the Cambridge Primary framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, concept-driven Mathematics lessons for Grades 1–5 aligned with the Cambridge Primary Mathematics curriculum
- Implement hands-on, activity-based, and inquiry-led teaching strategies to strengthen foundational mathematical understanding
- Design and administer effective assessments to monitor progress and support individual learning needs
- Integrate technology and creative resources to enhance student engagement and comprehension
- Create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that addresses diverse learning styles
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, co-teachers, and parents to ensure holistic student development
- Actively contribute to school events, co-curricular activities, and professional development programmes
Essential Attributes:
- Strong subject knowledge with a solid understanding of primary-level pedagogy
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills
- Ability to effectively integrate innovative teaching methodologies and digital tools
